Well i gotta say i think this school thing is gonna be alright. Its a lil tough gettin used to drawing and painting with people watching and commenting but I'm getting alot of good feed back so thats encouraging. However its hard to take without feeling the need to shrink away and hide further in the back of the class. I also have a tendency to eye people skepticaly as though they may be crazy. This whole art thing started as a reclusive avoidance oriented situation. I was a bartender 9 years in Philadelphia and Missoula Montana and having suddenly jumped ship to seek anonymity and privacy I can feel the cycle starting anew. Hope I'm ready to deal with the price of admiration again. For if there is one thing I've learned while bartending its that the more that people like you and your skill there are an equal number of people who will resent you and criticsize you just as much. Thin skin grants me the aptitude for the artist's ability to see. Yet leaves me vulnerable to the very attention it can bring. Ugh, the duality of man. (and woman)
